New kitchen equipment
Make room for another electrical circuit.
A new kitchen or more equipment may need additional circuits. We discuss whether your existing fuse box (consumer unit) has enough space and suitable protection.
- Space and condition of the existing box
- Power needed by the equipment
- Route to the connection point
An enquiry is not a confirmed appointment. We discuss the work and costs first.

When might you need this service?
You do not need to diagnose the installation yourself.

Preparing for future appliances
Understand the work before you agree.
Check whether expansion is practical
Available space, existing layout and protection all matter. In some homes the current box can be expanded; elsewhere a different approach may be more suitable.
Include the route to the appliance
A position in the box is only part of the job. The cable route, outlet or connection point and wall finish also need to be considered.
Plan the interruption and access
In Dutch homes, the consumer unit is called a groepenkast and is often in the meter cupboard. Tell us if the cupboard is shared, if essential equipment must stay powered, and which new appliances you plan to use.
Work on the network connection or sealed meter may involve your grid operator; describe the existing setup so responsibilities can be clarified.
Describe the job in plain English.
Tell us what you see, where the work is and how we can reach you. You do not need to choose a technical solution before contacting us.
Send your requestA request is not a confirmed booking.
These details are useful.
- What equipment you want to add
- Where it will be placed
- A photo of the closed box if safe
In a rented home or apartment?
Tell your landlord or property manager about a fault and check who can approve changes to fixed wiring. Mention access to a shared meter room or parking area where relevant.
Find your townAsk for the full cost before work starts.
The price depends on the fault or installation, materials, labour and timing. Describe your situation so we can discuss the relevant charges before you confirm a visit.
How costs are discussedVisit and diagnosis
Ask about a call-out charge and fault finding.
Labour, materials and VAT
Ask for the expected total, including applicable VAT.
Urgent or additional work
Check possible evening or weekend charges, and agree to extra work first.
For this particular job
Parts, available space and cable work affect the price. Compare proposals for the complete job, not only the number of new circuits.
Send the job detailsQuestions about fuse box expansion.
You can call if your situation is different.
Is expanding always cheaper than replacing?
Not necessarily. The existing box and extent of the changes determine the practical option.
Do I need to know what caused the problem?
No. Tell us what stopped working, when it started and whether it affects a room or the entire property. Do not open the fuse box or try to repair exposed wiring yourself.
Is my online request a confirmed booking?
No. We contact you to discuss the job, expected timing, availability and costs. An appointment is confirmed only after you agree.
I rent my apartment. Who should I contact?
You can describe the problem to us, but also tell your landlord or property manager. For work in shared parts of a building, access and permission may need to be arranged.
