Describe what you see

When might you need this service?

You do not need to diagnose the installation yourself.

01

A newly delivered induction hob

02

A replacement for an old appliance

03

Switching from gas to electric cooking

What the electrician checks

Understand the work before you agree.

01

Know the model and power requirement

Keep the hob instructions and model number available. The electrician checks the supply, cable and fuse box against that specification.

02

Connection or preparation first?

A suitable existing connection needs different work from a kitchen without one. If you do not know what is installed, describe or safely photograph it rather than guessing.

For homes in the Netherlands

Coordinate with the kitchen plans

Share the make and model of the hob or cooker, the kitchen fitting date and where the connection should be. A Perilex plug shape alone does not tell you how an existing socket is wired.

A kookgroep is a cooking circuit. The electrician assesses the suitable supply using the appliance specifications and existing installation.

Know what you are agreeing to

Ask for the full cost before work starts.

The price depends on the fault or installation, materials, labour and timing. Describe your situation so we can discuss the relevant charges before you confirm a visit.

How costs are discussed
01

Visit and diagnosis

Ask about a call-out charge and fault finding.

02

Labour, materials and VAT

Ask for the expected total, including applicable VAT.

03

Urgent or additional work

Check possible evening or weekend charges, and agree to extra work first.

04

Questions

Questions about induction hob connection.

You can call if your situation is different.

Must the fuse box always be replaced?

No. The existing installation and hob specification determine whether a change is needed.

Do I need to know what caused the problem?

No. Tell us what stopped working, when it started and whether it affects a room or the entire property. Do not open the fuse box or try to repair exposed wiring yourself.

Is my online request a confirmed booking?

No. We contact you to discuss the job, expected timing, availability and costs. An appointment is confirmed only after you agree.

I rent my apartment. Who should I contact?

You can describe the problem to us, but also tell your landlord or property manager. For work in shared parts of a building, access and permission may need to be arranged.
